🧰 Tools and Resources
App/Website:
Focus Friend by Hank Green (App Store) — A focus timer app where you care for a virtual bean that motivates you to stay on task; quitting early makes the bean sad. It actually works.
Product:
Cast Iron Juicer (Amazon) — Since everybody and their momma is talking about this. Easy to clean and use juicer. Makes you realize how much you’re overcharged for some juice.
Video:
Mindful Consumption (YouTube) — A video urging you to consume content intentionally to avoid the toxic cycle of passive scrolling and disappointment.
Article:
The Magic of Showing Up on Your Bad Days — About building consistency by showing up even when you feel unmotivated or struggling.
❌ SOMETHING NOT TO DO
Don’t scroll first thing in the morning. I’ve done it and it wrecks the whole day. You get that little dopamine blast from notifications before you’re even awake, and then nothing else feels as interesting. It makes it way harder to focus and actually finish the things you need to do. Give your brain a chance to start clean before you hand it over to the feed.
That's it for this week! If you have any suggestions hit the inbox. I’m trying to find the right structure for this newsletter.
